Aquafruit Tree

This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 74 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a sturdy, slanted trunk covered in delicate, rough, dark green bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pale yellow.

The excessive amount of branches are very short and thin and are covered with very large amounts of giant, circular leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are yellow and faded blue.

In early spring, it produces lots of small, aquamarine blossoms with 9 cylindrical shaped petals. They fall easily and have the faintest scent that smells like meat.

In mid-summer it produces , long, curved fruit. The waxy light brown skin is peel-able and edible when roasted; it is spicy, and the very soft white flesh is salty and sticky. The caramel seed is very large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
