Saltyfruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 81 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, wonky trunk covered in delicate, knobbly, light brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is gray.

The excessive amount of branches are very long and thin and are covered with small bunches of giant, V-shaped leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are slate and indigo.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, light grey blossoms with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like fruity.

In late summer it produces , 3 pointed fruit. The rough caramel skin is thick and sweet and sour, and the soft white flesh is salty and very juicy. The gold seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
