Aurora Blossom Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 19 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in thick, silky, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy-brown.

The sparse amount of branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either green, or orange with lime zig-zags.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of tiny, dark green blossoms with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like roses.

In early autumn it produces , hexagonal-shaped fruit. The soft washed-out orange skin is peel-able and edible when boiled; it is savoury, and the slightly crunchy orange flesh is sour and juicy. The gold seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is suitable for making strong rope
