Waterstem Rosebush

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 48 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, angular stems covered in very thick, wrinkled, yellow bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, very narrow and elongated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to peach at the top, flexible and smooth.

It produces several medium-sized, white flowers with long, tapering petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like roses. In early summer it forms largeyellow berries.
