Violet Clinger

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 39 feet (11.9 meters) and growing as high as 103 feet (31.4 meters).

It takes 19 months for the violet stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The thick, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are white at the bottom and green with ashy green streaks at the top, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of giant beige flowers.

It can survive a long time without water.
Several parts of the flower have medicinal properties.
