Violet Vine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 36 feet (11.0 meters) and growing as high as 91 feet (27.7 meters).
It takes 3 years for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.
The broad, flat, crispy leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) in length. They are silver with dark grey tips, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of small violet flowers.
It can survive a very long time without water.
