Violet Zigzag
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters)0. It prefers to grow on man-made objects.
It takes 6 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and rubbery.
The very thick, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are solid olive with violet zig-zags, and have irregular edges.
During late spring, the bine produces a handful of large white flowers.
