Silverwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized tree grows up to 22 meters (72.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 458 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, slanted trunk covered in hard, cracked, brown and grey bark, and inside, the dense wood is silver.

The tangled mess of branches are very long and thick and are covered with handfuls of soft, huge, stiff, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid vibrant orange with amber splotches.

In early spring, it produces several medium-sized, sky blue blossoms with shield-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like marzipan.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, beige, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for making strong rope
