Turquoise Puff Grass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized, orange grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in thick clumps that are resilient and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, turquoise puff.

During the early autumn, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of small grains.

It makes excellent hedges.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
