Redfire Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 122 feet (37.2 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is green, and is covered in brittle light brown spines. The tattered-edged, sickle shaped leaves are solid red with blue edges. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are sturdy, and do not detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 17 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with pink petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the olive flesh is smooth, and the lime sap is thin.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is bio-luminescent.
The leaves are slightly toxic, and very sour.
It commonly grows in large patches.
