Goldenwood

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2762 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, curved trunk covered in very thick, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is yellow.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright, with thousands of twigs covered with small amounts of giant, orange needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces small, caramel, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
