Emerald Spiral Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly tough.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
