Cyanorendron

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid cyan spines. The stumpy, slate trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter. Its orange branches trail down to the ground.

The irregular-edged, spear shaped leaves are either light brown, or amber with vibrant orange splotches. They are flimsy, but take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 46 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with white petals and a blood red central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 58 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like a damp log.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the caramel flesh is soft, and the magenta sap is thin.

It can survive a long time without water.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
