Indigo Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This colossal, brown grass grows up to 36 feet (11.0 meters) tall. The long, narrow stalks grow in large clumps that are sturdy and flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, indigo tuft.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
