Magentavine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 95 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, straight stems covered in waxy, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of miniature, thick, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid aquamarine or magenta, with turquoise patches, delicate and sticky.

It produces lots of small, lilac flowers with spear shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like rich perfume. In late summer it forms largeindigo aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
