Amberwood

This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 106 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, angular trunk covered in paper-thin, ridged, brown and grey bark, and inside, the hard wood is yellow.

The thin clumps of branches are long and thin and are covered with very large amounts of covered in fine hairs, giant, stiff, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are amber on the edges and white at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, subtle green seed pods.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
