Caramelgrass

Grass type: Annual (Grows the first year, flowers the second year, then dies)

This small, caramel or magenta grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in small clumps that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, amber tuft.

During the early summer, it produces copious amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.

Several parts of the flower have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for making paper
