Blueberry Tree
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 30 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a knobbly, slanted trunk covered in knobbly, light brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is mahogany-coloured.
The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of tiny, 3 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally pale blue.
In early spring, it produces large amounts of giant, grey blossoms with asymmetrical petals. They are hardy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotten egg.
In late autumn it produces , broad, flat fruit. The clammy blue skin is thin and inedible, and the very soft dark grey flesh is sour and syrupy. The hazel seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
