Climbing Skyflower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) tall. Its cyan stem is wispy, and the miniature, yellow-green leaves are light copper on the underside and are wide with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Each stem splits 4 to 6 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with petals that are caramel in the center, lilac in the middle and sky blue at the edges. The flower head is made up of 7 petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator and is ignored by most insect species.

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for making paper
