Crimson Moss

This crimson moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly hardy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
