Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small, orange-yellow grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thick stalks grow in thin clumps that are resistant and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, turquoise tuft.
During the late autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.
