Silverneedle

This enormous cactus grows up to 111 feet (33.8 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is silver, and is covered in hundreds of flexible pastel orange spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 19 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of gold and blood red, with an azure central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like warm cookies.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the amber flesh is leathery, and the blood red sap is thin.
