Caramel Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 240 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, angular trunk covered in hard, rough, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale brown-grey.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of soft, huge, wide leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid caramel with sky blue zig-zags.

In late summer it forms small, slate seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
every part of the moss is very toxic.
