Copperbrush

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 36 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous very thick, wonky stems covered in smooth, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are light grey and copper, resistant and leathery.

It produces many medium-sized, purple flowers with 5 pointed petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like leather. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedcyan berries.
