Magenta

This average-sized flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its gray-green stem is very thick and straight with a curved tip, and the small, yellow leaves are circular with wavy edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

6 to 12 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 46 cm (18.1 inches) wide, with solid magenta petals decorated with aquamarine lines and a hazel central disk. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like alcohol, and it has lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
