Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in large clumps On trees.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very sturdy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
