Golden Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas On rotten logs, In damp forests, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly light; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.

It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
