Caramel Succulent

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 65 feet (19.8 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is brown or caramel, and is dotted with small caramel spines. The jagged-edged, thick leaves are hazel and ashy red. Thick bunches of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are durable, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are violet on the edges and ashy red at the center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. It has a strong scent that smells like fermented fruit.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the red flesh is soft, and the olive sap is thin.
