Burgundy Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big tree grows up to 71 meters (233.0 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 63 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in thick, rough, dark brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is burgundy.

The excessive amount of branches are short and thin and are covered with copious amounts of covered in fine hairs, tiny, thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of yellow-green that gradient shifts to dark red at the top.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, cream aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.

It coexists peacefully with other plants.
The grains are bitter, but very healthy and are suitable for boiling.
