Burgundy Grass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, burgundy grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The perforated stalks grow in sparse patches that are flexible and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, crimson tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.

Several parts of the fruit tree have medicinal properties.
The sap is turquoise.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
