Burgundy Grass
Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thick stalks grow in large clumps that are resilient.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, amber tuft.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
It commonly grows in large patches.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
