Clinging Silverwood

This colossal tree grows up to 140 meters (459.3 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 383 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in delicate, ridged, dark brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is gray.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small amounts of smooth, tiny, pleated leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are silver with yellow tips.

In late summer it forms small, lilac aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
