Magentafruit Tree

This giant fruit tree grows up to 62 feet (18.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 57 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, crooked trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, burgundy bark, and inside, the soft wood is silver.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, long, tapering leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are generally yellow.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of large, magenta blossoms with wide petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a soft scent that smells like musk.

In early winter it produces small, triangular fruit. The soft olive skin is tough and sweet, and the soft orange flesh is spicy and oily. The yellow seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
