Crimson Moss

This cream or crimson moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests, On rotten logs, and On trees.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is overwhelmingly light; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
