Silverbell

This big tree grows up to 81 meters (265.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 132 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in hard, waxy, silver and white bark, and inside, the light wood is brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of clammy, giant, sickle shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are blue and olive.

In early spring, it produces many small, purple blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like cigarette smoke.

In late summer it forms giant, green berries.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
