Magenta Leaf Succulent

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 176 feet (53.6 meters) tall. The wide stem is green, and is dotted with small white spines. The slender leaves are either olive or magenta, with cream dots. Handfuls of them grow on flat, green branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are rigid, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 12 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of white, grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 54 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like alcohol.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the dull purple flesh is waxy, and the crimson sap is thin.
