Silvervine

This big tree grows up to 65 meters (213.3 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, light brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is gray.

The branches are long, thin and wispy, with dozens of twigs covered with sparse amounts of miniature, silver needles. The needles themselves are rigid.

In late summer it produces giant, green seed pods.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
