Hazelvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 21 feet (6.4 meters)0. It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 8 months for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The spear shaped, sticky leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are found in green and hazel varieties, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of tiny beige flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces plenty of large seed pods.

The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for making strong rope
