Copper

Flower type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) tall. Its brown stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the small, copper or sky blue leaves are wide with jagged edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 22 cm (8.7 inches) wide, with blue petals on the lower layer and cream petals decorated with dark brown dots on the inner layer. The central disk is silver. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 curved petals. They are hardy.

It has a strong scent that smells like rotting meat, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.

It is difficult to cut through.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
