Crimsonvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 335 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in thick, rough, burgundy bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pine-coloured.

The small bunches of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of fuzzy, large, needle-like leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in light grey and vivid yellow varieties.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, crimson berries.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
