Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In moorlands, On trees, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very robust.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
