Golden Cupflower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This enormous flower grows up to 16.4 feet (5.0 meters) tall. Its moss green stem is very thick, and the large, yellow leaves are fan-like with wavy edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Each stem splits 5 to 7 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 67 cm (26.4 inches) wide, with alternating petals of amber and white, with a beige central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cup made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They detach easily.

It has the faintest scent that smells like lemon, and it has an average amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
