Indigo

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized tree grows up to 50 meters (164.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 54 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a slender, curved trunk covered in thick, ridged, light gray bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is gray.

The branches are short and slender and are covered with thick bunches of rough, small, broad, flat leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are indigo and yellow.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, black, shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
