Ambergrass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized, amber grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in sparse patches that are robust and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, amber puff.
During the mid-summer, it produces copious amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is very resistant to fire damage.
