Blueleaf Shrubbyew

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 16 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several thick, straight stems covered in smooth, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are long and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, wide, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid sky blue or hazel, with white zig-zags, rigid and sticky.

It produces copious amounts of large, blood red flowers with broad, flat petals. They are hardy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like old books. In late summer it forms smallbeige aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
