Copperpine

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 191 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several branched, straight stems covered in wrinkled, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are short stubs with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, wispy, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally copper, flimsy and soft.

In mid-summer it produces bunches of giant, blue flowers with oval-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like an ocean breeze.
