Waterstem Grass

This short, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The 9 pointed stalks grow in thick clumps that are strong and tough and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, yellow spikelet.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of large grains.
