Yellowwind Tree

This big tree grows up to 65 meters (213.3 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 85 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, curved trunk covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is light brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground, with hundreds of twigs covered with large amounts of huge, yellow needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces large, lime berries.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
