Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On trees, and In damp forests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
