Eternal Green

This average-sized tree grows up to 42 meters (137.8 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, angular trunk covered in very thick, waxy, dark gray bark, and inside, the light wood is burgundy-brown.

The abundance of branches trail down across the ground, with thousands of twigs covered with very large amounts of giant, green needles. The needles themselves are flexible.

In late summer it produces large, purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
